Course Delivery
All courses are delivered completely online using the University's course management program, UBlearns.
Do I need prior knowledge on how to use a computer?
Yes! All distance learning courses use the Internet as an integral tool of participation and content delivery. You should be able to use and feel comfortable with:

a computer and hardware components (that you own or have access to at least 6 hours per course/per week)
the Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint)
media players, text readers, web browsers, and plug-ins
Note: A high speed internet connection is strongly recommended.
What are the basic software and hardware requirements for my participation?
A list of basic minimum software and hardware requirements to participate in this program can be viewed by visiting the UB Information Technology Orientation website. Students with PC/Mac's not meeting these requirements may have trouble downloading and accessing course materials. Visit the UB Micro website for additional information on student pricing.

Will I receive the same degree as an on-campus student?
Yes, you will receive the same degree as an on-campus student.
Although courses are delivered in a different way, the content and
rigor of on-campus courses are similar to courses taught via distance
learning technology.
