Most students, complete the program with 50 credit hours of work or more. Electives may be chosen from courses offered in or outside of the department – courses taken outside the department should be approved by the student’s advisor. Course schedules should be planned in consultation with the academic advisor. Consult the GSE webpage for a brief description of all department and GSE course offerings.
Dual Majors:
In some instances, rehabilitation counseling majors may wish to add a second, related major to their program (e.g., School Counseling) or students in other programs may wish to complete a second major in rehabilitation counseling. Students who decide to complete a dual major prior must do so within the first semester of their programs. Under all circumstances, the Dual Major guidelines promulgated by the Department must be followed.
