To conduct a successful job search in today’s competitive market it is crucial to develop a well-planned strategy. This workshop and the supporting resources will discuss the job hunting process within the library field. A detailed package of materials will provided to participants.

Surviving the interview process
Common mistakes
Developing a professional portfolio
Tips for a successful career
Marsha Hunt is a Master Librarian with the Halton Catholic School Board (Georgetown, Ontario) and a part-time Information Services Librarian with the Welland Public Library. She has worked in a variety of library settings and delivered numerous workshops to libraries and organizations across North America. Marsha’s areas of research interest include customer service, improving library services, and how people access and use information. Marsha has earned Masters degrees in Library Science and Education, a Human Resources Management Diploma, Adult Education Diploma, Training and Development Certificate, and a Web Page Design Diploma.
