Sept 2: GSE Server Maintenance

Our server systems will undergo routine maintenance this weekend. This would only affect you if you are:
Logged into the GSE file server or are in your network user area,
Viewing the GSE web page, or
Having students work on the server used for Coding Exercises.
Each system will remain online during most of their update procedures (other than when systems are individually restarted). However, to guarantee there are no conflicts with files potentially in use, I’m setting aside a block of time for these steps:
System Maintenance Time: Sunday September 2nd, 2007 from 12:15pm-6:45pm.
For planning purposes, you should assume these systems will be down during this time. Please let me know if you have any needs during this period, particularly on the file server. I will work with you if that’s the case.
These standard maintenance steps will occur monthly or when we’re directed by CIT, Microsoft, Dell, etc. to do so.
