Course Description and Structure

This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to the theoretical bases and practical applications of technology, particularly as used in classrooms.

Through a series of assignments during the course, students will explore a sampling of technological applications which are used most commonly by teachers and students, specifically:

Most importantly, through classroom discussion and writing assignments, students will look critically at how technology is not isolated from the context in which it is used: It is guided by some set of values and beliefs.

Each class period consists of two activities: Hands-on in the computer lab and discussion activities.
