The reflective paper for this class is designed to elicit your thoughts and ideas related to a question or scenario.  The assignment offers three or four questions from which you can select one. Your paper will be brief – no more than two typewritten pages, double-spaced. I am more interested in your views and experiences, rather than regurgitation of the scenario or question. You also will reference the class readings as you write your essay.

Since this is a course about technology, it is important that you have the opportunity to have experience using computer applications.It is not my intent to make you experts with all the applications (although, some of you already are).Your computer assignments are designed to give you some basic skill, based on the assignments for each application. These activities require minimum skill, but there is an element of problem solving in each of them.

I believe in choice (within reason), so you will find that some of the lab activities will spark your creative ideas for the content of some assignments.  I welcome your ideas for other options.
 

During lab time, we will have both instruction and time to practice. The assignments, though, will be completed outside class time.
