Introduction

GSE faculty have served as presidents of the Association of Childhood Education International, the American Educational Studies Association, the Teacher Education conference Board, the Reading Hall of Fame, the History of Education Society, the Research Council for Diagnostic and Prescriptive Mathematics, and the Division 15 Educational Psychology of the American Psychological Association. One faculty member is a former chancellor of the State University of New York.

A large number of Faculty have become prominent outside the country as well. About half have taught, lectured, consulted, or done research abroad.
