Goals
The Child
The center is designed to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate environment. The child's physical, mental, and emotional well being are major goals of our program. A developmentally appropriate program meets the needs of both the entire group and each individual child.
The Parent
The
center provides the parent/guardian with any additional information
or help they may need regarding their child's continued growth.
Ongoing parent-teacher communication is enhanced by a scheduled
conference once each semester. Teachers and the Assistant Director
are available to communicate with parents at home, at the beginning
and ending of daily sessions, and by appointment. Parent Workshops
are held periodically throughout the year on a variety of subjects.
The Christine Z. Cataldo Library, within the ECRC, is available
for parents' use.
The Student and the Researcher
The center provides the University at Buffalo with a nationally accredited site for the training and growth of child care professionals as well as varied research opportunities for professional educator's.
